In collaboration with Andrew Newberg, MD, at Jefferson University Hospital, he conducts research on on the neurological correlates of consciousness, beliefs, morality, compassion, meditation, religion, spiritual practices, and conflict
    resolution.  He is also Adjunct Faculty at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, where he is developing new communication tools for the Executive MBA program.
